FLUB's self-titled full length is progressive death metal smorgasbord of experimental ideas. Featuring members of RIVERS OF NIHIL, ALTERBEAST and VALE OF PNATH, FLUB combines the ferocity of modern technical death metal and blends it with elements of deathcore, melodic death metal and neoclassical themes that create an ensemble of next level musical ideas." Featuring Members from: DEPTHS OF HATRED, RIVERS OF NIHIL (CURRENT), EX-VALE OF PNATH, EX-ALTERBEAST WA-39045546|Play Speedway and Other Hits is the second LP from surf noir trio BLACK FLAMINGOS - as seen supporting DICK DALE, THE VENTURES, LOS STRAITJACKETS, THE 5.6.7.8'S & MESSER CHUPS, at Surfer Joe Summer Festival, The Hukilau, Surf Guitar 101 Convention & Hi-Tide Summer Holiday, and featured by Norman's Rare Guitars. The album explores more complex textures & moods, showcases the band's live energy, and features a guest performance by Chris Barfield from THE HUNTINGTON CADS. WA-39043948|2019 release. Will Beeley came up in the Austin scene of the æ70s with Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle among others. Tompkins Square reissued his two æ70s studio albums in 2017. Highways & Heart Attacks is his first album in 40 years. It was recorded by five-time Grammy winner Joe Trevino (Los Lobos) and mixed by Stuart Sikes (Loretta Lynn's Van Lear Rose, Cat Power). WA-39044877|Vinyl LP pressing. This year, Collective Soul celebrates their 25th anniversary as one of rock's most influential bands. From their humble beginnings in Stockbridge, GA to the heights of playing to sold-out audiences all over the world, Collective Soul has cemented their place in music by creating indelible, smash-hits like Shine, Breathe, December, The World I Know, Gel, Heavy, Precious Declaration and more. The band's album Blood is the culmination of a quarter-century of assessing not only where they've come from, but also where they're going. I think Blood expresses where we've been on this life journey, observes frontman Ed Roland. And we've done so with songs featuring piano and strings to those with a lot of guitar riffs. Blood is an accumulation of all the different styles we've used over the years - but it's still Collective Soul. I think it's the best we've ever done. From the hard-charging skitter of Over Me to the optimistic declaration of Right As Rain, the hopeful uplift of a man Changed, and the tender promise of Big Sky, Blood delivers in full from stem to stern. WA-39045638|The second in a series of EPs by Mark Van Hoen's Locust project. Continuing in the vein of Mark's signature interpretation of techno, GREEN also has a few other surprises in store for us including an only slightly glossier vibe this time around without compromising the heavy-hitting dance floor anthems. Special mention of the final track "Arch Enemy" which immediately reminds us of why we are enamored with the work of Locust in the first place. Ongoing stunning artwork by Paul Nicholson as well (designer of the new Locust logo as well as a history of other groundbreaking artwork in his repertoire). WA-39045645|Medical Records / Transfusions is excited to showcase the return of Derivatives (Josh Rose, Vancouver, BC). Just as a challenging equation stimulates the mind, these four cuts will carry you through the provocative landscapes and exercise your analytical cogs with precision and grace. Waveforms and beats are the currency of trade and from the speculations on these dubbed out honing missiles, good times are ahead. Buy low and never sell. Q.E.D. WA-39045652|Recorded in a Toronto apartment in 1985, Cumulus is an ultra-rare private-press ambient cassette release which was circulated amongst a small group of friends within the avant-garde theatre scene at the time. Brent Snyder's interest and discovery of Frippertropics and Brian Eno inspired him to set up a 4 track tape recorder in the corner of his dining room to create the two slow- evolving guitar loop-based pieces that make up Cumulus.
